Long Beach is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Great selection of candy, and very helpful staff. Their hours do seem to change (we were there in July/August), so may want to call and confirm their hours if you are planning to visit close to posted closing time. They were open a few hours later than what Google Maps said. Being a tourist town, I presume they adjust their hours based on crowds/demand. After we got home we did find they charged us for one of our fudge selections, but did not put it in the bag, so have to knock a star off for that.

So depressing. I dont think ive ever been so upset over a change in ownership. I have great childhood memories here of bright yellow colorful store front and taffy filling the shelves. Seriously who paints a Candy store in a small beach town black??? They obviously dont understand the appeal of the area and frankly ruined the store. Im heartbroken to know another place i have so many fond memories of has been killed of its whimsy and stripped of character into this black and white minimalist boring corporate slate. Just looking between the streets views from 2018 to 2024 is an instant mood killer. I just genuinely dont understand the mindset of the new owners and will not be giving my money to a couple of cash grabbers looking to make a quick buck on an established store.

A really nice little privately owned candy shop... The owner was super nice when I went and to buy my chocolates and they had a nice selection of chocolates and candies made on-site as well as salt water taffy flavors I haven't seen anywhere else. They also had a good supply of old school type candy that you don't see very many other places. Considering it was after the summer season I was surprised that the saltwater taffy was still soft because usually when you go in to places in the early fall late summer the salt water taffy has started to get kind of hard because it's been sitting all Summer. The chocolates that I brought to take home were very flavourful and well made..

So many types of candy to choose from! My kids were dying over the variety of taffy flavors. (The giant gummy bear was also so fun to see!) You can fill a bag with taffy or other mixed candies and have it weighed in addition to other types of candies. Overall, it was a really fun experience and we will be back!

They have a nice selection of interesting candy, as well as some great taffy with many flavors to choose from, and some wonderful hand crafted sweets like truffles and fudge. Will definitely be stopping back by before we leave to get more.
